Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing TalkJob or purchasing a plan, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If you use TalkJob for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation to these terms.

TalkJob is a voice-first career service. It can record or receive career information, transcribe speech, organise career evidence and generate Resumes, cover letters and related material using automated and AI-assisted tools. Features and plan limits are described on the pricing page and in the product.

You must review every output before relying on it. Automated output can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular application. TalkJob does not guarantee interviews, employment, career outcomes, ATS acceptance or the accuracy of AI output, and does not provide legal, recruitment or financial advice.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our breach of duty. You may not share, sell or transfer an account without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the recordings, transcripts, career facts, uploads and other content you provide. You grant TalkJob a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transcribe, process, adapt and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and fulfil your requests. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup cycles and legal retention duties.

You confirm that your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to provide it, and that our use of it as described here will not infringe another person's rights. Do not upload confidential employer material, personal data about others or recordings made without any permission required by law.

You must not use TalkJob to:

• break the law, facilitate fraud, impersonate someone or misrepresent qualifications or career history;
• infringe privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property or other rights;
• upload malware or harmful, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory or unlawful content;
• access another person's account or data, probe security, bypass limits or interfere with the service;
• scrape, crawl or use automated systems against the service except through an interface we expressly provide;
• reverse engineer or extract models, prompts, source code or non-public system components except where law does not allow that restriction; or
• resell or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

We may investigate suspected misuse and remove content or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, TalkJob or third parties, or to comply with law.

Current prices, included features and billing intervals are shown before checkout. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Stripe processes payments. By starting a paid plan, you authorise recurring charges at the stated interval until cancellation.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. You can cancel through the account billing portal; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period and you retain access until then.

We may change prices or plan features with reasonable advance notice. A price change applies from your next renewal after the notice period; you may cancel before then. We may suspend a paid plan if payment is overdue after giving reasonable notice.

If you are a UK consumer buying online, you generally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of entering the subscription. If you ask us to begin supplying the service during that period, we may charge a proportionate amount for service supplied before you cancel; once a digital service has been fully performed, your cancellation right may end where the law permits and you expressly agreed.

To exercise a statutory cancellation right, email [email protected] with a clear cancellation statement. Outside your statutory rights, refunds are at our discretion: if you believe you were charged in error or did not receive what you paid for, email us within 30 days and we will review it and put right anything that is our fault. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for services not supplied with reasonable care and skill.

TalkJob and its software, design, branding, workflows and other service materials belong to us or our licensors. Subject to these terms, we give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for your own lawful career purposes. This does not transfer ownership of the service to you.

You may use and edit outputs generated for you, subject to any rights in source material you supplied and applicable law. Because AI can produce similar material for different users, outputs may not be unique and we do not promise that they qualify for intellectual- property protection.

We aim to keep TalkJob reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, update, replace or discontinue features. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect a paid plan.

TalkJob depends on third-party services, including transcription, AI, payment, email and hosting providers. Their outages or changes may affect the service. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and are governed by those parties' terms.

You may stop using TalkJob and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach these terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay, or misuse the service. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that are intended to survive—including ownership, accrued payment duties, liability and dispute terms—continue to apply. Data is handled under our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses arising from consumer use, or for loss caused by inaccurate information you provide or your failure to review generated output.

If you use TalkJob wholly or mainly for business purposes, our total aggregate liability arising in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or £100, and—so far as law permits—we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity or anticipated savings.

We may update these terms for legal, security, operational or product reasons. We will post the revised terms with a new effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of mandatory protections in the part of the UK or country where you live and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer law. Business users submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Please contact us first at the address below so we can try to resolve any concern informally before formal proceedings. We do not currently use a specific alternative dispute-resolution provider.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains effective. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our permission; we may transfer it as part of a reorganisation or sale provided this does not reduce your consumer rights. These terms and referenced policies are the agreement between us about the service.
